Promise Face - Off

01.21.18 | First Fruits by Sandy Newman

Each month we are being transformed by the renewing of our minds. Each month we are presented with the opportunity to develop a mindset of increase. Each month we learn how and where to release our faith for all that is good in life.

SHEVAT: One of the key points of this month is “I’ve been here long enough, it’s time to possess my promise.” That sounds easy enough but…Chuck Pierce has said that this is a year of the “promise face-off.”

We will have to confront, contend, challenge, battle at every gate of promise in 2018. But check it out: II Corinthians 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ…” Thankfulness and praise, at the gate of challenge, will cause us to win.

That’s a weapon of victory and here’s another one. I Corinthians 1:28, “…God has chosen things which are not, to bring to nothing, things that are.” Chosen means to call, to command, speak. God spoke to the thing that was not there to come and reduce to zero the thing that was. God calls things that don’t exist and uses those things to bring to nothing the things that do exist. Example – he calls healing to come and healing overtakes sickness. Profoundly simple.

We are growing in the knowledge of our authority…we are getting there. In fact, we’ve been here long enough and it’s time to possess our promise of that kind of authority!

The prophetic season we are in is all about words of decree and declaration that penetrate darkness and release movement.
Deuteronomy 1, “And it came to pass in the 40th year, on the 1st day of Shevat that Moses spoke to the children of Israel…”

• You have been here long enough.
• Turn and take your journey.
• I have set the land before you, go in and possess the land which the Lord promised to your fathers
and their seed after them.

That’s pretty clear isn’t it – you have been here long enough.

We must stand up and act in positive faith towards God. One of the greatest statements in the Bible was written by Paul, “I have kept the faith.” The common thread that links all great men and women of God is their faith in God and their radical obedience. There are possibilities for breakthrough in so many areas of our lives if the word of God is believed and acted upon.

Contend at the gate of promise with this – I John 5:4, “for whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”
Confront the adversary at the gate of promise with this – I will mix faith with my promise and possess what God says is mine.

It’s with renewed faith that DeeAnn and I have entered 2018. We are confident that God will have a people that decree and see it come to pass…“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.”

Please continue to send prayer requests, praise reports and what you are hearing from God. We so appreciate all that’s being accomplished through you and those you are connected to.
May this year be the best ever.

Going In, Going Over, Going Through…
